The Author Behind “Anything For Her”
Vision Behind Writing This Book
The idea for “Anything for Her” didn’t start out big. It was actually a small writing assignment in her college class. Her professor kept telling her she had “something in her words.” That compliment pushed her to keep writing. A few days later she woke up from a dream and the whole spark of this story was right there. As a debut novelist, she decided to write a story that feels real, a bit messy and honest about young love. And she did it.
Meet Lydia Donovan
Strong. Protective. Passionate.
Lydia is independent and fiercely protective of the people she loves. Her difficult childhood has shaped her into someone who doesn’t back down easily.
Meeting Brooke brings out a different side of Lydia—one filled with vulnerability, affection, and a desire to build a future with someone.
But Lydia’s protective nature can also become dangerous when the people she loves are threatened.
For Brooke, Lydia becomes more than a girlfriend.
She becomes someone she can finally feel safe with.
Meet Brooke Miller
Caring. Beautiful. Courageous.
Brooke knows who she is, but she isn’t sure the people she loves will accept her for it.
Her relationship with Lydia gives her happiness and a sense of belonging, but it also places her in a difficult position with her family.
Brooke must learn that being loved doesn’t necessarily mean having all the answers.
Sometimes courage is simply taking the next step.
Nathan
Nathan’s presence introduces one of the story’s darkest conflicts.
His refusal to respect Brooke’s boundaries and his increasingly troubling behavior force Lydia and Brooke to confront a threat that goes far beyond the difficulties of their relationship.
The People Around Them
Chloe, Paul, Emily, Chase, Chris, and the rest of Lydia and Brooke’s circle demonstrate another important theme throughout the story:
Family isn’t always defined by blood.
Sometimes it is the people who stand beside you when everything becomes difficult.
THE STORY
A Love Worth Fighting For
Lydia has always been protective of the people she cares about.
Brooke has spent years wondering what would happen if the people closest to her discovered who she really is.
When their worlds collide, neither woman is prepared for how quickly their relationship will become important.
Their connection gives Brooke a place where she feels wanted, loved, and accepted. But it also forces her to confront the reality of hiding part of herself from her family.
Meanwhile, Lydia’s desire to protect Brooke becomes increasingly intense as Nathan’s behavior escalates.
With love on one side and fear on the other, Lydia and Brooke must decide what they’re willing to risk for their relationship.
Because falling in love can be easy.
Finding the courage to fight for that love is something else entirely.
